Description

Our navy blue fabric, with a weight of 280 g/m² and a width of 145 cm, is a versatile and elegant choice for decorative and functional projects. This deep shade combines the sobriety of dark blue with a sense of refinement and professionalism.

Navy blue, whose name has historical roots, derives from the term “ultramarine blue,” which comes from the medieval Latin ultramarinus, meaning “from beyond the sea.” This natural pigment, once brought from Asia via maritime trade routes, evokes the vastness of the ocean and the depth of the horizon.

This color, associated with values such as credibility, authority, strength, and concentration, is perfect for creating serene and professional environments. Additionally, its versatility makes it an ideal choice for those seeking a balance between sophistication and functionality.

Available Treatments

Our burlap fabrics can undergo various treatments to better suit any project, including:

• Dyeing (from 280 g/m²): We offer a wide range of colors and can dye the fabric in any shade.

• Screen printing: Available in one color, two colors, or more as needed. We can print any type of logo or design on our fabrics (only for weights above 280 g/m² and with a minimum order quantity).

• Carding: A process that softens, aligns, and cleans the fibers to remove impurities or irregularities.

• Ironing: Burlap fabric is pre-ironed by default, but we offer this finish for customers who require it. Steam ironing removes wrinkles.

• Burnishing: Removes excess fibers from the fabric, giving it extra smoothness and an attractive visual appeal.

• Waterproofing: This treatment makes the fabric liquid-repellent.

• Flame-retardant treatment: Enhances the fabric’s fire resistance, reducing flammability and preventing flame spread.

• Calendering: A heat and pressure printing process that transfers sublimation inks onto the fabric, ensuring vibrant and long-lasting colors.

• Softening: Reduces the natural stiffness of the fibers, creating a more flexible and pleasant texture without compromising durability. Ideal for upholstery, home textiles, and decorations.

• Washing: Cleans and softens the fibers, removing impurities, dust, and natural residues from production, resulting in a more uniform and appealing texture.

• Embroidery: Decorative stitching that adds personalized details to the fabric, perfect for fashion, decor, and custom products.

• Starching: Adds stiffness and body to the fabric, improving fiber stability and making it suitable for structured applications such as upholstery, curtains, and shoe soles.

• Gumming: Applies a layer of glue or gum to reinforce the fabric structure, reducing fraying and making it ideal for industrial and craft applications.

• Rame finishing: A stretching and stabilizing process that applies heat and tension to align fibers, helping to maintain fabric shape and dimensions.

• Folding: Creates pleats or folds to facilitate handling and transportation, preventing damage during storage. Useful for smaller fabric quantities.

• Printing: Allows the application of patterns or designs using specialized inks, adding customization and style while maintaining the fabric’s natural characteristics.

• Oxygenation or oiling: Treats the fabric with oxygen or oils to improve softness and reduce natural odors, making it more appealing for home textiles.

• Lamination: Applies a protective layer, such as plastic or paper, to make the fabric more water- and wear-resistant, ideal for outdoor use or packaging.

• Paper backing: Adheres a paper layer to the fabric, combining burlap texture with paper functionality for creative applications.

• Antibacterial treatment: Prevents bacterial growth, making the fabric safer and more hygienic for human or food contact.

• Antistatic treatment: Reduces static electricity buildup, improving comfort and making it useful for industrial applications.

• Scented treatment: Adds a pleasant fragrance to the fabric, enhancing the user experience. Ideal for decorative and packaging products.

• Bagging: Final packaging process that ensures fabric protection during transport and storage, keeping it in optimal condition until use.

These treatments ensure a high-quality and functional finish while maintaining sustainability.
